Datasets in Excel (long format) of Experiment 1-8. Each dataset contains raw data (i.e., before preprocessing) of single-trial variables for each individual subject (observer). Columns include dependent variables (e.g., reported orientation [reported], reaction times [rt]) and independent variables (e.g., orientation, condition) that are specific to each individual experiment. To reproduce the main figures and results, data have to be pre-processed and analyzed according to the pipeline described in details in the manuscript (Methods section).
A small amount of negative reaction times (around 0.005 for three participants only) is present in Experiment6_rawdata.csv because of accidental responses before the appearance of the response bar. These outliers are removed automatically, following the pre-processing described in the manuscript.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
