MPsizeBase: a database for particle size distributed environmental microplastic data

Abstract

MPSizeBase compiles published MP particle size distribution (PSD) and MP concentration data. Its purpose is to allow intercomparison of MP number and mass concentrations over a standardized range, typically the formal 1-5000um range. To do so, the published PSD is transformed into a cumulative PSD, fitted with the power law, and then extrapolated. Users can add published MP datasets here: https://www.get.omp.eu/mpsizebase/ Added LICENSE.txt containing the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license information.
