The Hard Problem of consciousness-the question of why physical processes give rise to subjective experience-remains the central paradox in neuroscience and philosophy of mind. Traditionally, the "what it is like" of experience has been treated as an emergent brute fact unamenable to physicalist explanation. This paper presents a falsifiable resolution that dissolves consciousness as a brute fact by identifying subjective registration (the Glow) as the internal side of dissipative identity maintenance (the Grind), with no remainder. Dependency with zero remainder = identity dismantles the mapping demand. Subjective experience and its underlying dissipative process are the same underlying physical state, expressed in different coordinates from different perspectives, with a fully invertible, lossless transformation between the two descriptions.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
