La meta fundamental de un sistema educativo eficiente, es la culminación de los procesos académicos con éxito, disminuir las cifras de abandono, deserción y lograr la permanencia. La evidencia indica que la deserción universitaria es un fenómeno global con implicaciones y retroceso en lo económico, académico, social y profesional. El escrito propone estrategias en lo institucional, académico, personal y económico con el fin de fortalecer la permanencia, e igualmente desarrollar planes o proyectos de acción que promuevan soluciones de acuerdo con la dinámica institucional y el comportamiento estudiantil en función de los cuatro factores.
The fundamental goal of an educational system is to finish the academic processes with success, decreasing the desertion rate and achieving permanency. The evidence shows that university desertion is a global phenomenon with implications and backward in the economic, academic, social and professional areas. This paper proposes institutional, academic, personal and economic strategies in order to strengthen permanence and to develop plans or action projects which promote solutions according to the institutional dynamics and student behavior according to the four factors.
