Abstract

WEBINARHOW ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS TRANSFORMING THE DEVELOPMENT OF UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENTS. SUBE Program (University Degrees for Adults), Universidad César Vallejo (Perú). Presentation focused on the impact of generative AI on the development of university assignments and on the transformation of academic practices related to information retrieval, knowledge organization and academic writing. It addresses the opportunities offered by these tools as support for learning, research, and academic writing, as well as the main challenges posed by their integration into the university context. The session also analyses some common risks associated with their use, such as overreliance on the tool, the replacement of personal judgment, the lack of transparency in its use or the confusion between speed and genuine learning. On the same line, it reflects on issues related to academic integrity, such as AI plagiarism, misinformation, loss of originality and the reproduction of errors and biases. It concludes that the current challenge does not lie in deciding whether or not to use generative AI in higher education (specifically in adult education programs), but in how to integrate it consciously and ethically into processes of knowledge construction.
