Abstract

WORKSHOP ON ANDRAGOGY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ADULT EDUCATION – CÉSAR VALLEJO UNIVERSITY PERU This presentation focuses on the ethical use of generative artificial intelligence in andragogical teaching and its implications for adult education. Starting from a clear understanding of how it works and its applications in educational contexts, it explores its potential to transform teaching, assessment, and learning support processes, while also addressing the ethical dilemmas raised by its integration (algorithmic bias, lack of transparency in content generation, risk of plagiarism, and technological dependency, among others). From this perspective, it reflects on the boundaries that should guide its use in teaching practice and on teachers’ responsibilities regarding its supervision, validation and pedagogical intentionality. The session concludes by focusing on the real impact of these technologies on adult learning, particularly in relation to the development of critical thinking and the autonomous construction of knowledge.
