Abstract

Through the story of Julián, a man who has built his life around certainty, efficiency, and the absence of error, the novel examines the moment when a perfectly ordered existence begins to reveal its emotional and existential limits. When a series of seemingly insignificant encounters begins to disturb the stability that has defined his identity for years, Julián is forced to confront what he has always avoided: uncertainty, mutual dependence, and the possibility that life cannot be reduced to what can be controlled. What begins as a slight discomfort gradually becomes an inner journey marked by loss, discovery, and personal transformation. The novel stands at the intersection of literature, philosophical reflection, and the ethics of human relationships. Through a restrained, introspective, and symbolic prose style, it explores control not only as a strategy of safety, but also as a form of distance: a way of avoiding uncertainty, pain, and the possibility of being affected by others. In a cultural context shaped by productivity, self-sufficiency, and the constant search for clarity, the book invites readers to reconsider the value of imperfection, incompleteness, and the unresolved. From a humanistic perspective, it engages with themes related to vulnerability, presence, loss, silent companionship, and the traces that every way of being in the world leaves on others. Rather than offering answers, Nothing to Correct invites reflection on what remains when certainties begin to weaken and on the possibility of inhabiting the world without needing to dominate it completely. Keywords: philosophical fiction; contemplative literature; existential narrative; human condition; vulnerability; personal transformation; uncertainty; presence; human relationships; loss; meaning of life; contemporary literature.
