Mehanohemija u Evropi: odakle dolazimo i gdje smo danas

Abstract

Iako je mehanohemija stara nekoliko hiljada godina, dugo je bila zapostavljena u odnosu na hemiju zasnovanu na upotrebi rastvarača. Njene metode su se tek nedavno pojavile kao ključna tehnologija za unapređenje zelene i održive hemije, koja ne koristi rastvarače (ili ih koristi u maloj meri), nudeći alternativu tradicionalnim hemijskim procesima. Mehaničko legiranje, koje se uspešno primenjuje u metalurškoj industriji, omogućilo je širenje mehanohemije i na druge industrijske oblasti, pri čemu se kao neki od primera ističu tretman otpada i dekontaminacija zemljišta, kao i potencijalne primene u pripremi farmaceutskih proizvoda, transformaciji biomase, te reciklaži i razgradnji polimera. U celini posmatrano, čini se da mehanohemija predstavlja interesantan pravac ka dekarbonizaciji hemijske industrije. Zahvaljujući udruženim naporima naučnika iz Međunarodne mehanohemijske asocijacije (International Mechanochemical Association [IMA]), pokrenut je niz inicijativa: odobrenje COST akcije CA18112 MechSustInd i naknadno uspostavljanje mreža saradnje pogodovali su finansiranju projekta EU Horizont IMPACTIVE, osnivanju Radne grupe za mehanohemiju u okviru EuChemS-a, organizaciji Round Robin projekta o mehanohemijskim transformacijama, kao i odobrenju IUPAC projekta o terminologiji i simbolici. Sve ove inicijative aktivno doprinose promociji mehanohemije kroz rešavanje ključnih izazova u ovoj oblasti i podstiču saradnju između akademske zajednice i industrije. Ove inicijative postavljaju Evropu na čelo mehanohemijskih inovacija, unapređujući ekološki prihvatljive hemijske procese uz istovremeni rad na standardizaciji terminologije i širenju industrijske primene.
