Abstract

El trabajo se enmarca en el proyecto "Investigación y puesta en valor de la ciudad de Tamuda (Tetuán, Marruecos)", que comenzó en el año 2009 al amparo del Plan Estratégico de Tamuda, continuando en los años sucesivos financiado por la Dirección General del Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural de España del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte dentro del programa Proyectos Arqueológicos en el Exterior y por la Secretaría General de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucia.La investigación sobre la porta principalis sinistra del castellum de Tamuda, realizada por expertos como Lucía Fernández Sutilo, Clara Toscano Pérez, Javier Bermejo Meléndez, Salvador Delgado Aguilar, Juan Manuel Campos Carrasco, aporta nuevos datos sobre la arquitectura militar romana en el norte de África. Analiza la funcionalidad y estructura de esta entrada, clave para entender la construcción y defensa del campamento.El estudio se enmarca dentro de la arquitectura militar del "Castellum de Tamuda" (Tetuán, Marruecos).Además de examinar el papel de la porta principalis sinistra en el sistema defensivo del campamento, se ofrecen detalles sobre la construcción, materiales y técnicas constructivas, incluyendo el análisis comparativo con otras partes del campamento para entender la planificación general del fuerte romano.
