Abstract

"El Último Árbol" es una obra del Dr. William Mercay que funciona como una crónica anticipada del colapso humano y ambiental. A través de un relato de ciencia ficción realista, ofrece aportes críticos en cuatro dimensiones fundamentales: Desde la Psicología: Explora el trauma colectivo de una especie que sobrevive en el aislamiento y la oscuridad. Desde la Filosofía: Plantea un dilema ético sobre la responsabilidad del Creador frente al libre albedrío de sus hijos. Desde la Ecología: Advierte sobre las consecuencias irreversibles de la tala, la quema y la contaminación desmedida. Desde el Derecho: Muestra cómo las estructuras del Estado pueden llegar a sacrificar a la población para preservar a una élite política y científica. Ideal para: Psicólogos, filósofos, educadores y cualquier persona interesada en la ética ambiental y la metafísica.
