Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPT) models took computational modelling of natural language outside of the scientific domain and into all domains of society and economy. The truth is, however, that the models do not perform very well on languages other than English. Achieving commercially valuable performance when it comes to smaller languages, such as Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Macedonian and Bulgarian, requires further scientific research. The ReLDI Centre has therefore decided to launch a scientific conference that will deal with both scientific and computational modelling of natural language focusing on South Slavic languages as examples. Our goal is to provide a broadly accessible overview of current scientific insights, technological achievements and upcoming trends through talks by leading experts. The first, pilot edition of the conference will take place on 25-26 September 2025 in the Palace of Science in Belgrade.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
