The quantum audio Python package is not only used to encode and decode a digital audio signal, but can also provide the foundation for creating distortion algorithms by adding gates in between the functions that encode and decode an audio signal. Various gates produce audibly different distortion effects. We mainly focus on four distinct gate combinations in this work and explore what value they bring artistically.
