AbstractThis research study explores the evolution and future directions of jewelry design as both an artistic and academic discipline. Drawing on historical foundations, cultural symbolism, and design philosophies, it investigates how heritage, personalization, sustainability, and technology shape the luxury jewelry industry. Methodologically, the study applies a qualitative approach integrating archival research, designer interviews, consumer surveys, and case studies of established luxury houses and emerging designers. The findings highlight personalization, emotional storytelling, ethical sourcing, and digital innovation as central drivers of contemporary luxury, while technologies such as CAD, augmented reality, and blockchain redefine authenticity and consumer trust. The study concludes that the future of jewelry design depends on harmonizing tradition with innovation, positioning storytelling and responsibility as key sources of competitive advantage.
