Abstract

Résumé : Cet article examine les conditions de production qui ont présidé à l’écriture du roman La Dernière Nuit du Raïs de Yasmina Khadra, auteur algérien majeur de la littérature francophone contemporaine. L’étude met en lumière le contexte socio-politique dans lequel s’inscrit cette œuvre, publiée en 2015, et qui s’attache à reconstituer les dernières heures de Mouammar Kadhafi, dirigeant emblématique et controversé de la Libye pendant plus de quarante ans. À travers ce texte, Khadra propose une immersion dans la conscience du Raïs au moment où son régime se désagrège sous la pression de la révolte populaire et de l’intervention internationale. Abstract: This article takes an in-depth look at the production conditions that shaped the writing of La Dernière Nuit du Raïs by Yasmina Khadra, a major Algerian author in contemporary Francophone literature. The study highlights the historical and political context in which this 2015 novel was conceived, a work that seeks to reconstruct the final hours of Muammar Gaddafi, the emblematic and controversial leader of Libya for more than forty years. Through this narrative, Khadra offers an immersion into the Raïs’s consciousness at the moment when his regime is collapsing under the pressure of popular revolt and international intervention.
