Abstract

Die akademische Bildungslandschaft in Österreich ist vielfältig, aber überschaubar: Sie umfasst 23 Universitäten, 21 Fachhochschulen, 17 Privatuniversitäten, 14 Pädagogische Hochschulen und 2 Privathochschulen. An diesen Einrichtungen kommen unterschiedliche Forschungsinformationssysteme FIS (bzw. Current Research Information Systems CRIS) zum Einsatz, um Forschungsleistungen zu dokumentieren und diverse Berichtspflichten zu erfüllen.Zahlreiche österreichische Hochschulen haben sich zum Netzwerk FIS/CRIS Austria zusammengeschlossen. Dieses bietet mit seinen mehrmals jährlich stattfindenden Treffen eine Plattform für den gegenseitigen Austausch über aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Forschungsdokumentation sowie über unterschiedliche Anforderungen an FIS.Im Rahmen dieses Netzwerks hat sich eine Arbeitsgruppe (bestehend aus den Autor*innen dieses Dokuments) mit der standardisierten Erfassung und Abbildung von Forschungsdaten in FIS befasst, relevante Anwendungsfälle identifiziert und in der Folge eine Empfehlung für ein Minimalset an Metadaten erarbeitet.
