Abstract

Im Zeitalter der digitalen Transformation spielt Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) eine entscheidende Rolle dabei, Prozesse zu optimieren und neue Möglichkeiten für Hochschulen zu schaffen. Das Coffee Lecture bietet einen Überblick über aktuelle KI-Anwendungen im Hochschul-IT-Zentrum (HS-ITZ) in Thüringen. Die Diskussion umfasst wesentliche Werkzeuge und Technologien wie Übersetzungssysteme und Chatbots, die den interkulturellen und interdisziplinären Austausch erleichtern. Praxisbeispiele aus dem HS-ITZ, wie Ollama, OpenWebUI und MoKITUL, veranschaulichen, wie KI nicht nur technische Prozesse, sondern auch die Lernerfahrungen von Studierenden bereichern kann. Video: Link ----- In the age of digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in optimizing processes and creating new opportunities for universities. This Coffee Lecture provides an overview of current AI applications at the University IT Center (HS-ITZ) in Thuringia. The discussion covers essential tools and technologies such as translation systems and chatbots that facilitate intercultural and interdisciplinary exchange. Practical examples from the HS-ITZ, such as Ollama, OpenWebUI, and MoKITUL, illustrate how AI can enrich not only technical processes but also the learning experiences of students.
