This dataset contains data collected to investigate student ideas on simple electric circuits. The data were gathered using the 2T-SEC test instrument, which assesses conceptual understanding through a two-tier multiple-choice format. The dataset includes responses from two groups of participants: High school students (grades 7–8) Undergraduate students enrolled in physics-related study programs Data were collected in Germany and Austria.
