This doctoral project explores the potential of serious games to reduce household food waste, integrating behavioral change theory and digital sustainability. It proposes the development of an evidence-based digital game, applied to two demographically matched groups: members and non-members of the Fruta Feia cooperative. The research aims to contribute to scientific discussions on food policy, sustainability, and behavioral assessment methods, while aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2, 12, 13 and 15).
