International Seminar "Tides of Connections and Tensions" - Call for Papers

Abstract

Call for Papers for the International Seminar "Tides of Connections and Tensions. Revisiting the Indian Ocean and Red Sea as Spaces of Historical Entanglement", to be held online from 5 to 6 February 2026. This event is co-organised by the Dept. of International Studies, Political Science, and History, CHRIST University, India, the Dept. of Historical Studies, University of Turin, Italy, and the ERC-2023-COG REDMIX. Together, they explore the historical connections and geopolitical dynamics in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
