Abstract

Sem monitorização eficaz, a futura Rede Nacional de Áreas Marinhas Protegidas (RNAMP) corre o risco de existir apenas “no papel”, sendo incapaz de proteger o mar português num momento crítico para a biodiversidade marinha. O presente Roteiro propõe um conjunto de ações calendarizadas até 2030 cuja execução contribuirá para dotar a RNAMP de um modelo de monitorização funcional, coordenado e fiável, capaz de gerar a informação necessária para avaliar o desempenho da Rede e orientar políticas públicas de conservação e restauro da biodiversidade marinha. O Roteiro contou com os contributos de um grupo de trabalho de 36 peritos composto por investigadores, representantes de entidades públicas com competências na área da conservação marinha e membros de ONG de Ambiente.
