Abstract

El Libro de resúmenes del 17th European Meeting on Ancient Ceramics (EMAC 2025), celebrado en el Bizkaia Aretoa (Universidad del País Vasco, UPV/EHU) en Bilbao, España, del 10 al 12 de septiembre de 2025, reúne el conjunto completo de contribuciones orales y pósteres. EMAC es un foro bienal consolidado en la intersección de la arqueología, la arqueometría, la ciencia de materiales y la conservación del patrimonio. Esta edición destaca enfoques analíticos no destructivos y presenta avances en siete ejes temáticos: estudios de materias primas y procedencia; arqueología experimental, etnoarqueometría y análisis de residuos orgánicos; análisis portátiles y no destructivos; estudios cerámicos digitales y basados en datos; tecnología, producción y cronología; teoría y métodos; y estrategias de conservación preventiva.

The Book of Abstracts of the 17th European Meeting on Ancient Ceramics (EMAC 2025), held at the Bizkaia Aretoa (University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU) in Bilbao, Spain, 10–12 September 2025, compiles the full set of oral and poster contributions. EMAC is a long-standing biennial forum at the intersection of archaeology, archaeometry, materials science, and heritage conservation. This edition highlights non-destructive analytical approaches and presents advances across seven topics: raw material and provenance studies; experimental archaeology, ethnoarchaeometry and organic residue analyses; portable and non-destructive analyses; digital and data-driven ceramic studies; technology, production and dating; theory and methods; and preventive conservation and preservation strategies.
