Slides from Day 3 of the UCL Qatar Short Course, "Open Access and Open Knowledge." Slide deck covers an introduction to various issues related to providing support for researchers who wish to make their research outputs openly access (or are required to do so by a research funding agency policy). Topics covered include: the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), recent trends in funding agencies' OA policies, using the SPARC author addendum, and looking up publishers' policies via SHERPA/Romeo.
