
This dataset contains simulated and recorded audio files related to the acoustic environment of multifunctional libraries.Specifically, it includes: 4 simulated audio files of the New Civic Central Library of Torino (Italy), configurated barely occupied, with a moderate noise level and fewer sound sources (4 receivers placed in different locations inside the library); you can see the positions of each receiver in the library looking at "Torino_library_floor_plan_barely_occupied" file. The file of Receiver 1 ("MONO_R1_barely_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 44.9 dB(A). The file of Receiver 2 ("MONO_R2_barely_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 45.4 dB(A). The file of Receiver 3 ("MONO_R3_barely_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 42.9 dB(A). The file of Receiver 2 ("MONO_R2_fully_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 51.2 dB(A) in the octave-band spectrum configuration, while in the flat spectrum configuration the overall sound pressure level is 52.5 dB(A). The file of Receiver 3 ("MONO_R3_fully_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 50.8 dB(A) in the octave-band spectrum configuration, while in the flat spectrum configuration the overall sound pressure level is 51.8 dB(A). The file of Receiver 4 ("MONO_R4_fully_occupied") has an overall sound pressure level of 52.0 dB(A) in the octave-band spectrum configuration, while in the flat spectrum configuration the overall sound pressure level is 52.9 dB(A). 1 recorded audio file from the Saint-Geneviève library in Paris; the file "MONO_saint_genevieve_library" has an overall sound pressure level of 50.3 dB(A). 1 recorded audio file from the Richelieu library in Paris; the file "MONO_richelieu_library" has an overall sound pressure level of 46.5 dB(A). All simulations and measurements were carried out to study the perception of acoustic environments in multifunctional library spaces. The files are intended for use in acoustic research.
