The collected texts represent the final group projects of the graduates of the microcredential learning programme Anthropocene: the contemporary world in a transdisciplinary perspective, organized by the Centre for Theoretical Study, a joint research institute of Charles University and the Czech Academy of Sciences, in 2024. The programme addresses the complex topic of the Anthropocene from the perspectives of different disciplines and fosters collaboration between the social and natural sciences, as well as between academic and non-academic forms of knowledge. The five collected texts were written as part of a collective work in heterogeneous groups. Each group of participants chose its Anthropocene entity, that is, a tangible singular object that - when viewed through the right perspective - can say something essential about the nature of the Anthropocene.
