This talk was given during the workshop 'Open science in research practice' (“Offene Wissenschaft in der Praxis”) at the Weizenbaum Institute Berlin in cooperation with Wikimedia Deutschland and Fraunhofer Fokus. The goal of this talk is to give young scientists an overview of the diverse aspects of open science to get them interested in practicing open science. The talk is highly motivated by Merton's normative principles on research practice.
