This catalogue is part of the volume Threads of Contacts: Tracing the Relationship Between Egypt and the Southern Levant Through Textile Tools, published by Oxbow Books in the Ancient Textiles Series (Volume 42). It is the result of an extensive effort to gather all available evidence of textile tools from the sites selected as case studies: Megiddo, Hazor, Beth Shean, Tell el-Far‘ah North, Lahun, Gurob, and Deir el-Medina. It includes data derived from both published literature and first-hand observations. Not all tools mentioned in the literature were accessible for direct study, and not all the tools examined during this research had been previously published. To distinguish between sources, items studied directly are marked in blue, while those known only from the literature appear in black. A dedicated column provides the bibliographic references used in compiling the catalogue.
