
Pursuing the PhD is the first step in the academic career, one that most head into with a passion for research. While embarking on this journey is often seen as an exciting endeavor, it’s also fraught with unique challenges that can lead to less than desirable outcomes. In this keynote presentation I reflect on what I learned through my experiences, research, and participation in policy advocacy about creating healthy PhD trajectories.
