Data for "Species Distribution Modelling of Benthic Amphipod Crustaceans in the Deep North Atlantic Under Climate Change"

Abstract

This dataset is based on occurrence data from the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) (https://obis.org/), originally downloaded using the OBIS Mapper tool. It includes both the raw occurrence data as initially extracted, as well as the filtered version used for species distribution modeling. The filtering steps included spatial, temporal, and quality checks to ensure accurate representation of benthic amphipod distributions in the deep North Atlantic. Additionally, the metadata, including their licenses, is included in a separate file. Bathymetry data was sourced from GEBCO (https://www.gebco.net/data-products/gridded-bathymetry-data) and includes the terms of use. Environmental modeling layers were obtained from Bio-ORACLE (https://bio-oracle.org/downloads-to-email.php) and are included under the GNU General Public License.
