This is is the Manifesto of the Italian Data Stewards Community (Comunità Italiana Data Stewards - CIDS). The document contains the principles and objectives of the Community and explains the internal organisation. The document is the result of a writing process that lasted several months, which involved all members of the Community Coordination Group and included a two-week open period for the document to be submitted to the entire Community for comments and observations.
