Abstract

Die NEFI Innovation Hubs sind spezialisierte Netzwerke, geleitet von angesehenen Forschungseinrichtungen. Ihr Ziel ist es, hochrelevante Forschungs- und Innovationsprojekte zu initiieren, die den Übergang zu einer klimaneutralen Industrie unterstützen und Österreich als Technologieführer im Bereich erneuerbarer Energien und Industrieinnovationen etablieren. Flexible Technologien sind entscheidend für die industrielle Transformation. Sie fördern erneuerbare Energien, speichern Überschüsse und geben sie bei Bedarf frei. So wird die Energieversorgung stabiler. Zudem können energieintensive Prozesse in Zeiten hoher erneuerbarer Erzeugung geplant werden, was fossile Brennstoffe reduziert und Lastspitzen glättet, um Kosten zu senken und Systeme widerstandsfähiger zu machen.
