Dynamic model of Thermal Management System for hybrid electric aircraft propulsion system with different coolant investigation

Abstract

Marco Fioriti, a member of the POLITO team, prepared a scientific paper entitled 'Dynamic Simulation of Thermal Management System for All Electric Aircraft' for submission to AIAA AVIATION FORUM AND ASCEND 2024. The paper includes results related to the HERA project. Specifically, it describes the development of a model that investigated the performance of the TMS for an electric engine, starting with its static sizing. The paper compared different coolants, including the introduction of dispersed nanoparticles in the conventional coolant. This paper representes a preparatory activity regarding systems modelling (WP7).
