Abstract

Lo que este trabajo pretende es un acercamiento desde la antropología a la teoría y práctica de la cultura en el ámbito de las organizaciones empresariales. El objetivo deeste trabajo no es un estudio en profundidad de la cultura empresarial. La intención es mucho más modesta, no se pretende ir más allá de exponer un conjunto de reflexiones que permitan un acercamiento adecuado al objeto de estudio. Es decir, no sólo se trata de esbozar que se entiende por cultura de empresa, sino también que variables, ítems, valores, operan en las compañías entendidas como comunidad cultural. Y, por supuesto, que posibilidades metodológicas de gestión se derivan del estudio y conocimiento de estas categorías. Ineludiblemente esta aproximación de posturas y postulados implica también una aplicabilidad y operatividad del diseño cultural, que permita no sólo optimizar recursos sino también conseguir el desarrollo de la organización. Para ello, es necesario tomar como referencia las aportaciones de la antropología y la etnografía como disciplinas que trabajan con el concepto global de cultura. En definitiva, apostar por las ciencias de la cultura como soporte básico para la gestión de la cultura organizativa.
