Python script for assessing the extinction ratio of Vortex beams generated through STED holographic endoscope.Requires the dataset HDR_vortex_corrected.hdf5 available in https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14637567The dataset HDR_vortex_corrected.hdf5 must be placed in the same folder as the python script. The following python packages are necessary: numpy h5py matplotlib scipy, including scipy.optimize The script can be opened and ran using, for example, Spyder software. The script was tested in Spyder IDE 5.5.5 (Python 3.12), on 14.01.2025.The script is commented to help following each step. Execute: open the script, for example, in Spyder IDE software and run the script (no input is required) Outputs: 2D plot of extinction ratio across 1/4 of the endcap fibre output. Colorbar values are expressed in dB.
