1 .mp3 file containing excerpts, edited together, from a series of interviews with Jean Barr conducted between 13 and 20 July 2024 at the Barr residence. They were conducted and this document created in the course of research for a hybrid publication combining the monograph Accompaniment in America: Contextualizing Collaborative Piano (Routledge, 2025) and the Jean Barr digital repository collection: https://accompanimentinamerica.website/barr-collection.html. The interviews were led by Chanda VanderHart, with audio edited by Bill Lloyd and Franz Schaden. In them, Barr reflects on her biography, career trajectory, work with Gwendolyn Koldofsky, pedagogical philosophy, and on the history and field of collaborative piano as a whole. This work has been generously subsidized by Dr. Jean Barr.
