Abstract

Resumo Este artigo apresenta um estudo de novas tecnologias da arte digital, a saber, do NFT (Tokens Não Fungíveis) e da Inteligência Artificial generativa, através da prática de dois artistas contemporâneos, a saber, Damien Hirst (1965 - ) e Lev Manovich (1960 - ). Abordaremos alguns aspectos das obras "The Currency" (2016-2022) de Hirst, e "Terra Soviética" (2022) de Manovich para compreender como os artistas estão incorporando essas novas tecnologias às suas práticas e como elas revolucionam a expressão artística contemporânea. Abstract This paper presents a study of new digital art technologies, as digital NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens), and generative Artificial Intelligence, through the practice of two contemporary artists, namely Damien Hirst (1965 - ) and Lev Manovich (1960 - ). We will discuss some aspects of Hirst's "The Currency" (2016-2022) and Manovich's "Soviet Land" (2022) to understand how artists are incorporating these new technologies into their practices and how they revolutionize contemporary artistic expression.
