Abstract

This is a prelude text, a stitching together of fragments and notes collected in the studio's archives. Isolated words guide the writing, poeticizing, between flashes and diagrams, the gestation of an artistic practice. An inventory that, by revisiting photos, drawings, writings and objects, recalls the process of creating “Prelude to a Place Any: Temporary Space for Experiences”. This practice was derived from an ongoing investigation: a collection of ownerless objects, waste and scraps carried out on the streets and in the trash. Treated as small signs of existence, these objects serve to mediate displacements, silences and listening, vulnerabilities and desires. Can objects take on metaphorical forms? As former things, can they say lives? Do discarded things carry memories? Can they mediate artistic experiences? A dialogue with Jorge Larrosa and his perspective from experience, is borrowed to rehearse possibilities and places of a collective artistic practice.
