StandICT.eu Standards Leadership Webinar Slides: Supporting SMEs participation in European and international standardisation

Abstract

This webinar, organised by StandICT.eu 2026, aims to provide information on how SMEs can get involved and lead the standardisation efforts in the ICT field. Through its Standards Academy and Mentorship Programme, StandICT.eu is directly supporting the improvement of the expertise, knowledge and overall skillset of European stakeholders interested in standardisation. The event will feature presentations from standardisation experts who are leading the efforts in their fields as Convenors of Technical Committees or Working Groups of European and international Standards Developing Organisations (SDOs). In addition, participants from the Mentorship Programme will share their experiences on how to get involved in standards-making and Partners of the StandICT team will further outline the training possibilities and SME-targeted support activities offered by the project. The webinar is specifically directed at SMEs that are not yet directly involved in standardisation processes and is organised under the “Meeting Standards” campaign, a European initiative led by Small Business Standards dedicated to helping SMEs to better understand and benefit from standardisation.
