COGNITIVE THEORIES OF EMOTION: COGNITIVE APPRAISAL AND EMOTIONAL PROCESSES

Abstract

This article analyzes cognitive theories of emotion and explains how emotional processes emerge through cognitive appraisals. The article also discusses the impact of emotion appraisals on the social and cultural context, the practical aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, and its importance in the field of psychotherapy. The article highlights how cognitive approaches play an important role in understanding emotional states and psychological processes.
