Efektivitas Infusa Daun Salam Terhadap Kadar Glukosa Darah Sewaktu Penderita Diabetes Mellitus Desa Kalirejo Dukun Gresik

Abstract

The use of natural ingredients that can be used as an alternative treatment against Diabetes Mellitus one of them is greeting Syzygiumpolyanthum (wight) Walp containing antidiabetic. The Salam leaf has an active form such as eugenol, tannin and flavonoids. The salam leaf has potential as antidiabetes. The aims to determine whether there is influence consumption of Salam Leaf infusa to decrease blood sugar levels during Diabetes Mellitus In the village Kalirejo District Dukun Gresik regency. The research was conducted in Kalirejo Village, Dukun Sub-District, Gresik Regency and using pretest posttest experiment design. Diabetes Mellitus patient in Kalirejo village according to surve and information from Puskesmas Dukun sub district was high enough. By taking 15 respondents of Diabetes Mellitus patients to be given the extract of Salam Leaf that was processed by boiled, The parts of plants that can be used as a medicine for Diabetes Mellitus was the whole part of plants, and the most dominant was using the leaf. Use of medicinal plants for Diabetes Mellitus the most dominant was by way of drinking. The conclusion of this research is the research done with 15 respondents given infusa from the decoction of Salam Leaf for 1-6 days as much as 2 times a day and got significant result for the decrease of blood glucose level at the time
