Chronicle of the capture-recapture history of great crested newts (Tritus cristatus) in a pond archipelago within the estate of the Pierre Vérots Foundation (south-east France, 45.94N - 4.92E) during the 1993-2018 period. The archipelago was composed of 5 ponds from 1993 to 1995, 7 ponds from 1996 to 1999, and 12 ponds since 2000. At this date, it has been shaped according to 4 groups of 3 ponds. In the table, the first digit gives the number of the group while the second digit gives the number of the pond within the group (e.g. pond 42 is the second pond of the 4th group of 3 ponds). CODE is that given by the implanted transponder. GENDER is 1 for male, 2 for female, and 3 for unknown (juvenile individual). Status is that observed during a given year (e.g. an individual can be juvenile (3) in a given year and become male (1) the following year). S1 and S2 are the two capture sessions within a given year (S1 at the end of March, S2 at the end of April). In 2009, we only performed the first session.
