Subject of research – problems of providing energy saving in construction, prospects for the development of innovative mechanisms for financing energy saving. The purpose of writing the article is the author’s vision of the current state and prospects for the development of innovative mechanisms for energy saving financing, the development of practical and applied recommendations regarding the implementation of a financing mechanism for energy saving in construction using the model of energy contraction. Methodology of work. On the basis of the system approach, taking into account the specifics of construction, the factors that influence the implementation of the energy saving potential in Ukraine are identified in the article, and the scientific and methodological provisions regarding financing mechanisms in the system of organizational and economic provision of energy saving of the enterprise are considered. Results of work. In the article, according to the results of the conducted research, an estimation of the current state of development of mechanisms for securing financing of energy saving is carried out. The influence of factors, which complicate the introduction of energy contracting model in modern realities of Ukraine, is determined. Conclusions. Building an energy–efficient economy is a trend of Ukraine’s development. Studies show that the development of a financing mechanism for energy conservation based on a model of energy contracting raises the efficient and efficient use of energy saving potential.
