Abstract

Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FFL) in an intercultural context presents various challenges in terms of developing learners`communicative skills. This article examines the challenges of interculturality in the development of communicative competence in the FLE classroom. By analyzing the theoretical foundations of interculturality in language education, we attempt to highlight the importance of cultural diversity and learning contexts, explore the challenges faced by learners in acquiring effective communication skills in an intercultural context, and the pedagogical strategies and didactic tools that can be used to overcome these challenges. The importance of intercultural awareness in the FFL teaching-learning process is also examined, with suggestions for effectively integrating intercultural aspects into the training of communication skills.
