10. Lasianthus congesticymus Zhu (2000b:124). Type: ― THAILAND. Nakhon Si Thammarat, Khao Luang National Park, 24 August 1995, K. Larsen et al. 45955 (holotype AAU!). T hailand: ―PENINSULAR. Phatthalung: Khaopu-Khaoya National Park, 10–11 July 1993, C. Puff & K. Sridith 930711-1/1 (AAU, BKF, PSU, WU). Songkhla: Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary, 13 August 1995, K. Larsen, et al. 45522 (AAU, BKF, PSU). Distribution: ― Malaysia (Borneo), Thailand (Peninsular). Ecology: —Moist evergreen forest at an elevation of 700‒1200 m. Notes: ― Lasianthus congesticymus was found for the first time among herbarium specimens collected in Peninsular Thailand. Morphologically it is similar to L. subcalvus Craib (1933:27) but it differs in having ellipsoid and rugose drupes that are 5 mm long, while L. subcalvus has fusiform drupes that are 1‒2 cm long. Lasianthus congesticymus is also similar to L. lancifolius Hook.f. (1880:187) in having globose drupes that are mostly glabrous and smooth (Zhu 2001). In Thailand, Lasianthus congesticymus and L. subcalvus occur in the Peninsular region whereas L. lancifolius is found in the North Eastern region.
