The monograph is devoted to solving practical problems of archeology: searching for and improving methods of analyzing primary information on burial monuments, aimed at increasing the informativeness of this source, the demonstrability of conclusions, and the rigor of the research procedure. The methods of formalizing the source and methods of processing empirical data are described: a summary characteristic and comparative analysis of monuments, searching for mutual occurrence of features, and obtaining some accompanying indicators. The application of methods and interpretation of results are disclosed on specific examples. Several programs of a specific target direction are proposed and the stages and methods of solving problems of a social and ethnic nature, identifying archaeological cultures and local variants are disclosed. For historians, archaeologists, teachers and students of higher education institutions.
