A sketchbook made by the artist Garry Barker in order to build visual resources to be used for a constantly growing body of work. In particular these drawings are used to explore metaphorical possibilities in both the methods of drawing, (pen and ink), and the subject matter, which in this case is mainly landscape. Each page is annotated with reflections as to what was thought about as the drawing was made and how it could contribute to a growing library of images that are used by the artist to develop complex narratives related to finding a mythical sense to life.
A 30 page sketchbook.
