Abstract

Phyllostachys praecox Chu & Chao (1980: 176) Lectotype (designated here):— CHINA. Zhejiang: Deqing Xian, 22 April 1974, C. S. Chao & H. Y. Zou 74103 (NF barcode 17003180!, isolectotypes NF barcode 17003179!, PE barcode 01512160!). Nomenclatural notes:—The gathering C. S. Chao & H. Y. Zou 74103 indicated by the authors as type, consists of 3 specimens kept in NF and PE. The specimen with NF barcode 17003180 is better preserved than the other 2 specimens, hence is here designated as the lectotype. Taxonomic notes:—This species is currently accepted in the Flora of China (Wang & Stapleton 2006) as Phyllostachys violascens (Carrière) Rivière & Rivière (1878: 770).
