Abstract

Abstract: This experimental study investigated how semantic context influences verbal behavior using the GPT-3 language model as a participant. The study aimed to elucidate how semantic cues affect the language generation process of GPT-3. Participant was engaged in tasks where the independent variable, semantic context, was manipulated, and verbal responses were analyzed as the dependent variable. Results suggest that GPT-3 responses vary significantly based on the semantic cues presented, supporting the hypothesis that semantic context influences verbal behavior in Artificial Intelligence models. Resumo: Este estudo experimental investigou como o contexto semântico influencia o comportamento verbal usando o modelo de linguagem GPT-3 como participante. O estudo objetivou verificar como as pistas semânticas afetam o processo de geração de linguagem do GPT-3. O participante realizou tarefas onde a variável independente, contexto semântico, foi manipulada e as respostas verbais foram analisadas como variável dependente. Os resultados sugerem que as respostas do GPT-3 variam significativamente com base nas pistas semânticas apresentados, apoiando a hipótese de que o contexto semântico influencia o comportamento verbal em modelos de Inteligência Artificial.
