
Vocational Identity is one of the major component of agentic control which one has over his/her careerdevelopment. Through vocational identity, a framework can be determined for setting up goals andself-direction. It also contributes to an individual’s adjustment and well-being along with facilitatingthe transition which one goes through from school to work. Making a choice with respect to one’s careeris one of the most important aspects in one’s life. The present paper aims to study the vocational identityamong senior secondary school students of east district of Sikkim. The sample of the present studyconsist of 120 randomly selected senior secondary school students from east district of Sikkim. Thedescriptive survey method has been used to conduct this study. Vocational Identity scale developed byF. Veiga and Moura (2005) has been used in the study for collection of data. Descriptive and inferentialhas been used to analyse and interpret the data. To find out the difference between variables t-test wasused. The result revealed no significant difference between male and female students of seniorsecondary school in relation to the variable Vocational Identity.
