This publication is the first to describe the ant species of Kalimantan's tropical peat-swamp forests. The guide presents the 81 species of Formicidae (30 genera) that have been recorded in the Sabangau forest so far, as a result of 12 months of surveys using honeybaited pitfall traps on the forest floor. The guide includes general information on the project, identification keys and accounts on the diagnosis, ecology, biology and distribution of each species, with pictures and illustrations.
