O Estudo do Comportamento na Perspectiva da Genética do Comportamento e da Psicologia Evolutiva

Abstract

Palavras-chave: Genética do Comportamento. Psicologia Evolutiva. Comportamento Humano. Influências Genéticas. Adaptação Evolutiva. Abstract: This article aimed to describe how integrating the perspectives of Behavioural Genetics and Evolutionary Psychology contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of human behaviour. Behavioural Genetics examines the influence of genetic and environmental factors on behaviour, highlighting how genetic inheritance and interaction with the environment shape behavioural traits and predispositions. On the other hand, Evolutionary Psychology investigates how adaptive behaviours emerged as responses to selective pressures throughout evolution. Together, these approaches offer an integrated view that considers both biological bases and evolutionary adaptations of human behaviour, providing a richer and more comprehensive perspective on the subject. Keywords: Behavioural Genetics. Evolutionary Psychology. Human Behaviour. Genetic Influences. Evolutionary Adaptation.
